Back in August I started talking with Laura Cox about offering some outdoor appointments at her homestead. Not only are massage therapists all over the world offering outdoor massage due to the pandemic, but outdoor massage is a unique and luxurious experience in and of itself! As we walked around her property looking for a suitable spot, I listened to the crickets chirping and the chickens squacking. Fifteen miles from the city, the air smelled sweet and we enjoyed the cool breezes in the sunshine. We chose a spot next to the barn (far enough from the chickens!), level and private.

Laura and her husband Brad moved to the homestead last August, and they have done a beautiful job fixing up the property! Right now Laura is focusing on selling flower bouquets, elderberry syrup kits, season salt, and farm produce.

What style of massage do you do?

For this event I am offering table massage, and my style incorporates Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial, trigger point, and Thai massage techniques. My specialty is helping clients to relax and to manage pain. Before your session we'll discuss your goals and how I can plan your massage to meet your goals. For more information, please see my FAQs.

What about weather?

We will be under a canopy, so as long as any rain isn't bothersome, we'll continue. I am able to adjust for moderate temperature fluctuations with a table warmer, hot towels, flannel sheets, feather bed topper, etc, and cannot offer penalty-free cancellations for temperatures below 85 and above 55. In the event of cooler weather, I will make sure you're warmly draped, and can easily work with clothing if you would prefer to wear long sleeves and flexible pants. In the event of extreme temperature or weather, we may cancel or find a time to reschedule.

What is your cancellation policy?

If you are feeling sick at all you may cancel your appointment with no penalty. If it is with less than 24 hours notice, please consider giving your appointment to a friend or family member.

All other cancellations require 24 hours notice, or you may be charged the full price of your appointment.

What are your Covid policies?

As well as following good sanitation principles, I will be wearing a mask during your massage.

Along with a regular intake form, I will have a Respiratory Health Intake form for you to fill out prior to your appointment. I will have hand sanitizer available for your use, and can offer contactless payment on request.
